Candidates on Ballot Paper
While Jim Gavin has withdrawn from campaigning in the Presidential Election his name remains on the ballot paper and a vote cast for him will be treated as a valid vote in the same way as a vote for any other candidate. Information for visually impaired voters
Ballot paper templates will be available in each polling station at the Presidential Election on 24th October 2025, for use by visually impaired voters who wish to vote in secret. Details of the candidates and their position on the ballot paper are available by calling the following freephone number.

The minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, James Browne, has signed the Presidential Election 2025 Order setting 24th October 2025 as the date for the Presidential Election. The full text of the order is available by clicking the following link.

NB: If you are campaigning for any candidate or party in any election being held on that date then you are NOT eligible to work on this occassion.
